Update 13/Dec 2011: Optus and Telstra also throwing their weight behind Galaxy Nexus, the newest Android on the block pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich. Even though Optus had previously announced a launch date of 20 Dec, the phone is already available for pre-orders online on deals starting from $45/month on the $29 Cap.
Telstra, a step behind in making the announcement, have gone further and announced that the phone will be available on sale in stores from 15 December – the day after the official launch by Samsung tomorrow night. Telstra deals start from $69/month on the $59 plan.
Galaxy Nexus on Virgin is a bit of a mystery. Rumours suggest that plans are in the system though calls to Virgin customer support dont reveal much. Most likely Virgin plans will be announced pretty soon, so keep checking back.
Original story: First the Galaxy tab and now the Galaxy Nexus, Samsung is on a roll this season.

Galaxy Nexus is the flagship Android smartphone showcasing Google’s Icecream Sandwich operating system made for Google by Samsung. The phone will be launched officially at a Samsung event on the 14th, but Vodafone have already announced plans and taking pre-orders online – order before 16th Dec for pre-Christmas delivery.
Plans start from $47/month ($29 plan + $18 phone) on a 2 year contract, but the $59 plan is a better deal as it comes with 1 month free access.
